yes u didn't it was just a phrase. Well actually before I draw with this style, I used to draw with Anime (japan) style, but then I feel it's too common. Everyone draws anime, so I decide to take the other path.
I wasn't attacking you, I just was trying to correlate with the conversation. In fact, "anime" isn't a "style" to begin with due to the fact that even if the Japanese due have certain signature elements in their works, that doesn't make them all the same. Since when do Hiromu Arakawa and Eiichero Oda look the same?
This is why I rarely use the term "anime". Maybe it shouldn't exist to begin with.
It's what we called here, usually people called Japanese style of drawing with "anime". because people will don't understand, especially the common people who doesn't like arts, what is Moe, Hentai, or whatever. Or sometime we said "Manga" instead of "Anime", and I'm sure anime is part of the style. Just like Cartoon. Ok, Anime and Cartoon are defined as animation type and not drawing style. But this is the main idea of all drawing style, that's why so much people using cartoon and anime/manga as a type of drawing. Then, these are seperated into some more detail group. For example in Anime/Manga we have Hentai, Ecchi, Otaku, etc. While in Cartoon we have Europian, American, Classic, Neo, etc.
PS: term "anime" does exist. It's Japanese language. It's Katakana (one of japanese languages). Anime (アニメ) .
